Templates and guides
The working files we use ourselves: a checklist, three spreadsheets and an outline. Brand-neutral, free, and yours to change. Every example row is fictional and marked as an example.
5 of 5 are ready to download. The rest are being written.

- A compare sheet that works out the gap and the range to publish
- Guidance on what a 10%, a 40% and a two-times gap each mean

- A summary that flags low-confidence, high-impact assumptions
- Shows which assumptions nobody owns

How to get the most out of them
Each file opens with an instructions sheet, because a template nobody knows how to fill in is just a grid.
- Delete the examples first
- Every example row is fictional and shaded. They are there to show the level of detail, not to be edited into your own project.
- Write [SOURCE NEEDED] rather than a guess
- A placeholder you can search for later is far safer than a plausible number nobody questions again.
- Give every row an owner
- An assumption or a requirement with no owner is the one that goes unchallenged until someone outside your team finds it.
These are deliberately plain files that work in Excel, LibreOffice, Google Sheets or Word. The same structures, with the evidence and the calculations attached, are what theDraaftly platform builds for you.
Keep the register, lose the spreadsheet
Draaftly holds the evidence, the assumptions and the model together, so the figures in the report and the figures in the spreadsheet cannot drift apart.
