Draaftly Students Early access

Learn the method, not just the answer

Draaftly is a research workspace that shows its working: where each figure came from, what it assumes and how the model gets from one to the other. That is the part you are being marked on.

Fictional market. Two independent estimates sit 7% apart; the report explains the gap and uses the range, not a single number.

A tool you can show your supervisor

Draaftly is built so the work can be checked. That makes it useful for coursework, and awkward for shortcuts.

  • The method is on the page

Draaftly shows the steps a study goes through — brief, evidence, analysis, deliverable, review — rather than returning a finished answer you cannot explain.

  • Every source stays visible

Each figure keeps its source, date and page, so you can read the original, cite it properly and defend it in a viva.

  • The numbers are calculated, not written

Market sizing, NPV, IRR, payback and sensitivities run in a calculation engine you can inspect, so you learn what moves them.

  • Assumptions are yours to argue

Where evidence is thin, Draaftly records the gap as a stated assumption instead of filling it in, which is usually where the marks are.

Where students use it

  • Dissertations and final-year projects that need a market or a model
  • Case competitions and business plan contests
  • Feasibility and project appraisal coursework
  • Internships where you are handed a market question in week one

Rules on AI assistance differ between universities, departments and modules. Check yours before you use Draaftly on assessed work, and declare the tools you used where you are asked to. Draaftly keeps the evidence and the assumptions visible precisely so that declaration is easy to make.

The student plan

Where in the range you land depends on your country. Students in eligible countries pay the lower end through the Access Program.

You verify with a student ID or an institutional email address, and we check it before the student price starts.

Draaftly Students Access Program

A student in Lagos, Dhaka or Lima should not pay a New York price for the same coursework. The Access Program sets the student price against local purchasing power in emerging and developing economies, and delivers it through institutions rather than one student at a time.

  • Who it is for

Students in emerging and developing economies, using the World Bank income groups as the starting point rather than our own guesswork.

  • What changes

The student price is adjusted to local purchasing power, so it reflects what a student in that country can actually pay, not a currency conversion.

  • How it is delivered

Through universities, departments and NGOs we work with, so access is verified by an institution rather than by us guessing at an email address.

  • What we ask in return

That the work stays the student’s own, and that your institution is comfortable with how AI tools are used on the course.

Income groups follow the World Bank classification, which is published and updated each year by an outside body, so the boundary is not ours to move. We will list the countries covered, and the price in each, before the programme opens.

Bring the programme to your students

Universities, departments, student bodies and NGOs can apply to deliver the Access Program. Tell us who you teach or support and we will come back with what we can offer.

  • No cost to the institution to take part.
  • Verification stays with you. You confirm who your students are; we do not guess from email domains.
  • Teaching material included, so the tool arrives with a way to teach the method behind it.

Courses, projects or programmes you have in mind.

Questions from students and staff

Does Draaftly do my assignment for me?

No, and it is not built to. It organises evidence, runs the calculations and drafts structure, with every source and assumption visible so you can check, change and defend the work. The thinking, the judgement and the final submission are yours.

Is using it allowed on my course?

That depends on your institution. Rules on AI assistance differ by university, department and even by module, so check them first and declare the tools you used where you are asked to.

How do I get the student price?

You verify with a student ID or an institutional email address, and we check it before the student price starts.

What does the student plan cost?

$5 – $9 a month, depending on your country. Students in countries covered by the Access Program pay the lower end, adjusted to local purchasing power.

Can my university or NGO join the Access Program?

Yes. Universities, departments, student bodies and NGOs can apply to deliver the programme to their students. Use the form on this page and tell us roughly how many students you teach or support.

What happens when I graduate?

Your projects stay yours and can be exported at any time. When the student verification ends, you can move to a regular plan or stop, and nothing is deleted without telling you first.

Is my coursework used to train AI models?

No. Draaftly never uses your data to train AI models. Our AI providers, Anthropic and Google Cloud, do not use customer data from their commercial services to train their models by default. We explain this in full on our Trust page.
