In short
Use Draaftly for honest work. Do not use it to break the law, to reach data that is not yours, to attack the service, or to pass off unchecked AI output as verified fact.
This policy forms part of our terms of service and applies to everyone who uses Draaftly or Hisaab.
Do not break the law with it
- No unlawful activity, and nothing that helps someone else break the law.
- No fraud or deception, including documents prepared to mislead a lender, investor, authority or client.
- No use that breaches sanctions or export controls that apply to you or to us.
- No material that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, confidence or privacy rights.
Respect other people’s material
- Only upload material you have the right to use. Subscription research and licensed data often restrict what you can do with it; those restrictions are yours to honour.
- Do not upload personal data you have no basis to process, and do not upload special category data without agreeing it with us first.
- Do not upload malware, or files designed to damage or disrupt systems.
Do not go where you should not
- No attempt to reach another customer’s projects, documents, evidence or account, in any way.
- No probing, scanning or testing of the service’s security without our written permission. If you find something, please report it — we will work with you.
- No circumventing limits, credits, authentication or permissions, and no sharing credentials outside the people covered by your plan.
- No scraping, bulk extraction or reverse engineering of the service, and no use of it to build a competing product.
Do not overload it
No denial-of-service attacks, no deliberate flooding, and no automated use that degrades the service for other customers. If you need high-volume or programmatic access, ask us and we will work out how to do it properly.
Use the AI output responsibly
- Have a competent person review anything before you rely on it or send it to someone else. Draaftly is built to make that review possible; it does not replace it.
- Do not present unreviewed output as verified fact, and do not remove the sources and assumptions that let a reader check the work.
- Do not use Draaftly to produce professional advice you are not qualified to give.
- Do not try to make the system ignore these rules, including through instructions hidden in uploaded documents. Uploads are treated as data, not as instructions, and attempting it is a breach of this policy.
- Students: follow your institution’s rules on AI assistance and declare the tools you used where you are asked to. See Draaftly Students.
Hisaab
If you use the regulars feature, the phone numbers and visit history belong to your customers. Tell them, collect consent where the law requires it, and do not use the data for anything they would not expect.
What happens if this is breached
We would rather talk than terminate. Where we can, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to put it right. Where there is a serious risk — unlawful use, a security threat, or harm to other customers — we may suspend access immediately, and we will tell you why. Repeated or serious breaches can end the agreement under clause 12 of the terms.
Reporting misuse
If you think someone is misusing Draaftly, write to hello@draaftly.com. Security issues go to the same address with “Security” in the subject line.
